• To encourage young people to ride and learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses.
• To give instruction in riding and horsemastership and the proper care of animals
• To promote the highest standards of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self discipline.
9.00 - Arrive and meet the other children, hat fitting, safety briefing
9.15 - Supervised grooming and pampering followed by tacking up for the activities of the day
10.00 - Group Riding Lesson
11.00 - Return the ponies to the stables and take a break.
11.30 - Pony Care Activity. Learn about mucking out, feeding, bandaging, rugging, etc (appropriate to the experience and ability of the group.)
12.30 - Lunch
1.30 - Riding activity. Have a go at vaulting, polocrosse, Mounted Games etc.
2:30 - Return the ponies to the stables and if time: games, quiz etc
3.00 - Practical hands on activity OR Arts and Crafts
4.00 - Return to parents.
Each Pony Play day is slightly different, so you can do as many as you like without getting bored.

Children should bring their own packed lunch. Additional refreshments may be purchased from the vending machine or Cafe on site. Please ensure children have suitable clothing for the weather conditions and are wearing suitable riding boots (boots with a small heel, NOT TRAINERS)
